Professor Kodanda Ram who spearheaded Telangana agitation with T-JAC is now going back to work with the separate statehood is attained. Kodandaram is a professor of Political Science at PG College in Secunderabad, one of the colleges under Osmania University. As he is busy in the agitations, he is in long leave from January 2010 to August 2012. Couple of days ago Kodanda Ram has reported the University that he will be back to work in the next week.
Earlier there were rumours that Kodanda Ram will be considered for the Vice Chancellor post of Osmania University which will fall vacant very soon. However according to the rules, it is mandatory to have 10 years of seniority as professor to become Vice Chancellor. Kodanda Ram will complete 10 years seniority only in 2016 but his service will end in September 2015. So unless Telangana government relaxes the norms for him, there is no chance for him to get the coveted post.
