Prof Kodandaram is one of the crucial persons in the Telangana Agitation. For some reason, KCR kept him away after the state bifurcation. Kodandaram even floated his own party against KCR but failed to make any impact.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy wants to accommodate Kodandaram in his cabinet and send a message that he cares for the people who worked in the state agitation.
Rumors are that Revanth Reddy wants to make Kodandaram an MLC in the upcoming MLA-quota MLC elections.
Two seats have fallen vacant due to the resignation of Kadiyam Srihari and Padi Kaushik Reddy after they were elected as MLAs.
There are as many as twelve aspirants in the party for these two seats.
But Revanth Reddy wants to give one seat to Kodandaram. He further wants to take him to his cabinet and give him the Education Portfolio.
Until now, KCR is claiming Telangana sentiment as a patent right of BRS. But then, Sentiment played no role in recent elections. Revanth Reddy wants to own it finishing sentiment as an issue for KCR once for all.
