Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy thanked Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka for confirming that he was promised a cabinet berth. He expressed disappointment that the Congress High Command did not honour the assurance.
Speaking to the media, the Munugode MLA said senior leaders in the Telangana Congress were creating hurdles and insulting him. He appreciated Bhatti Vikramarka for publicly acknowledging the promise during a news channel interview.
Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy clarified that he was not seeking the cabinet position and only wanted the government to ensure good governance in the state. He urged the Congress government to fulfil all election promises and provide corruption-free administration that meets the aspirations of Telangana people.
The matter has become more complicated as Reddy continues to raise the demand while insisting he is not after power. With no cabinet expansion expected soon the Congress High Command is staying silent. Rajagopal Reddy is keeping the issue alive by addressing the media every day.
