Sakshi TV anchor Kommineni Srinivasa Rao has been arrested by the AP police.
He was arrested in a case of insulting women in Amaravati. He was taken into custody at his house in Hyderabad’s Journalist Colony. From there, he is being taken to AP.

A case has been registered against Kommineni at Tullur police station in Guntur district.
The police have registered a case on the complaint of capital farmers, women, and State Madiga Corporation Director Kambhampati Sirisha regarding obscene comments during a discussion on the Sakshi TV channel.

A case has been registered under SC, ST Atrocities and other sections on the complaint that Dalit women in the Tadikonda SC reserved constituency in Amaravati have been insulted. Along with Kommineni, a case has also been registered against journalist Krishnam Raju and the Sakshi management.
While being arrested, Sakshi TV Reporter was present, and Kommineni has the audacity to say the Red Book Constitution and Police Constitution are prevalent in Andhra Pradesh.

Kommineni was enjoying it when Journalist Krishnam Raju called Amaravati not the Capital of Gods but a Capital of Sex Workers.
That has attracted statewide protests.
To make things worse, Kommineni did not apologize but tried to sidetrack the issue, saying that nobody should talk about it so that Amaravati does not get a bad name.
He apologized to Jagan and Bharathi as people were abusing them, but did not unconditionally apologize to the Amaravati women.

Kommineni has been anti-TDP for several years. Initially, he used to be on NTV and carry out a similar negative agenda on TDP.
During that time, TDP registered a severe objection to the NTV Management with proof, and he was removed from the job.
Many used to suspect that Kommineni was on Jagan’s payroll even while he was at NTV.
He further increased his hatred for Chandrababu Naidu. Jagan brought him to Sakshi, and from there, there is no stopping him for nine years.
With an early morning debate almost every day from NTV to Sakshi, Kommineni used to set the tone for every propaganda that YSR Congress unleashed on TDP for more than a decade.
He was rewarded with the Press Academy Chairman. After YSR Congress lost power, he is back in the Studio spewing venom on TDP, and finally, he had to pay the price for the same vicious propaganda.
