Eagle Team carried out raids at Quake Arena pub in Kondapur. Eight people were caught red-handed while taking drugs. Tests were conducted on 14 individuals, and eight tested positive for drug use.
Ukrainian duo ARTBAT were performing when the raid took place. The operation was handled by Eagle Team along with local police. In the past 10 days, 27 people were arrested in drug-related cases across the city.
Police confirmed that 5 foreign women and 17 drug users were identified. They seized 68 grams of cocaine, 50.5 grams of MDMA, and 382 kilos of ganja during recent operations.
With New Year celebrations starting, police and Eagle teams are on high alert. Raids are being conducted based on tip-offs. Drug usage appears to be increasing, especially in IT zones and party hotspots.
The Hyderabad police commissioner has already announced a strict no drugs policy for New Year Eve events. Surveillance is active round the clock to ensure pubs and parties remain drug-free.
