Couple of days ago, Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao in a public meeting said that Telangana Rashtra Samiti will very soon become Telugu Rashtra Samiti and he will be contesting from Bhimavaram in the next elections. This statment caused intense discusssion and debate in media.

KTR further clarified about this in a media interaction today in Telangana Bhavan. “I just said it for fun (about contesting in Bhimavaram). But TRS image definitely improved in settlers. KCR have a huge following in AP too,” KTR said.
KTR is spearheading TRS campaign for the upcoming GHMC elections. He took the responsibility of appeasing settlers ahead of the crucial election and is giving one statement a day to impress them. The polling for the GHMC elections will take place on February 2nd.
