BRS working president has confirmed the demand from people of Telangana to overthrow the ruling Congress government. Even before the outrage following comments by Kotha Prabhakar Reddy has died down, KTR sparked a new controversy.
Kotha Prabhakar Reddy had said a couple of days back that industrialists were coming forward to fund BRS to buy MLAs, so that the Congress government falls.

Now, KTR has confirmed the same. KTR said what his MLA said was true and many were saying that they will collect funds to overthrow the government.
But they had no such plans, clarified KTR. He was speaking to media at Telangana Bhavan. KTR asked why would they overthrow the government.

However, if the Congress government’s acts lead to anger among people, what can one do, he said. People are coming to us and asking how long they will have to bear the Congress government. People will overthrow like in Bangladesh. Big dictators fell due to people’s ire, said KTR.
We don’t want to overthrow the Congress government. Revanth Reddy must rule for five years. Only then will people refrain from voting for Congress for another 20 years, he said.

The politics of defection were started by the Congress party. They took away 10 leaders from our party. Now the 10 don’t know where they belong, said KTR.
He also touched upon the Kancha Gachibowli lands issue and said that the BJP government was not taking a strong stand on the issue. He wondered why the BJP was supporting Revanth Reddy.
KTR said an independent body must be constituted to look into the Kancha Gachibowli land issue. Only then the name of the BJP MP will come out, he said.
KTR further said any self-respecting politician would have resigned after Supreme Court’s ruling. But that was not the case with Revanth Reddy, said KTR.
KTR also spoke about Revanth Reddy having an army of police officers to side him. KTR warned they will go to the Supreme Court to ensure they work according to rules.
Finally, KTR spoke about the Congress and BJP being similar. While Congress used CBI to get even with its opponents in the past, BJP was using ED in the same manner, said KTR.
