Telangana will go to elections in 2023. There are signs of anti-incumbency in the ruling party and the BJP seems to be cashing on it. The saffron party is particularly strong in urban areas.
In order to negate BJP’s impact in Greater Hyderabad, KCR is planning to field KTR from one of the seats here.
Irrespective of the image of TRS, there is super goodwill on KTR, his efforts to bring investments and improve infrastructure in West Hyderabad.
KTR contesting here will also infuse energy in the cadre and leaders.
The impact will also improve the chances of the candidates in other areas of the Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts.
There are 24 assembly constituencies in Greater Hyderabad and they will be extremely crucial in case it is not a one-sided election like in 2014 and 2018.
And that leaves us the question if KTR will contest from two constituencies or will he leave his Siricilla constituency.
KTR is winning the constituency ever since 2009. He won four elections with a margin of 90K votes in the last one in 2018.
