Telangana Telugu Desam Party MLA Revanth Reddy has released a sensational audio tape from Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandra Sekhar Rao’s meeting with the collectors. In the tape, KCR was clearly heard telling the collectors that the onus of the survey is to tighten screws on settlers from Andhra and drive them away from Telangana. He called settlers from Andhra as ‘Duplicate Fellows’ and told the collectors of Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad that they will have a closed door meeting regarding the strategy to be followed in these districts where settlers are high in numbers.
KCR also openly stated that his government that two collectors from Andhra were already set aside and MROs from AP origin were ignored. Only Telangana native officials were invited to the meeting. In the same audio, KCR was suggested to have SC,SC classification by one of the collectors but he bluntly refused. Collector from Mahabubnagar informed that migrants are very high and they can participate in the survey if it is done during Dussehra but KCR rejected saying that we can not stop survey for those.
Over 369,000 state government employees, including police and teachers, will conduct the survey across 10 districts of Telangana and survey 8.4 million households, according to government estimates. The Telangana government has already issued order allocating Rs.20 crore (Rs.2 crore for each district). Government is planning to wind up the entire exercise in 12 hours (8AM to 8PM on August 19th).
