Mango Farmers To Get Rs 260 Cr: CBN Keeps Promise

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has kept his promise. He has given directives to release Rs 260 crore for mango farmers.

The money will be used to buy Totapuri mangoes at Rs 4/kg subsidy. 6.5 tonnes of fruit will be bought by the government. The government has helped the Chittoor district mango farmers who are facing market problems.

The government has announced that the subsidy amount will be directly credited into the farmers’ accounts. The farmers have to check their accounts for money.

The state government has requested the Center to give Rs 260 crore through MIS. The buying will continue till August, 2025. The agriculture department asked the processors to give support price of Rs 8/ 12 per kilo.

For the past few days, the mango farmers of Chittoor were in a lurch as they could not sell their produce in the market. Understanding their plight, CM Chandrababu and his government took steps to come to their aid.
