March Gandam For Jagan Once Again!

YS Jagan

The month of March is turning out to be a Gandam for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. In March last year, TDP registered stunning results in the MLC elections winning the Rayalaseema and Uttarandhra seats too.

TDP also threw a blinder at Jagan by winning an MLAs quota MLC election with the support of three YSR Congress MLAs.

In March this year, the YSR Congress is likely to meet with a similar scenario.

Three Rajya Sabha seats are becoming vacant as CM Ramesh, Kanakamedala Ravindrakumar, and Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy are retiring.

TDP has twenty-three MLAs after the 2019 elections. Three of them defected to YSR Congress but three YSR Congress MLAs are supporting TDP. Hence the party’s number is twenty-three but still, it is not enough to win a Rajya Sabha seat.

But then, Jagan Mohan Reddy has helped TDP with mindless changes in MLA tickets. At least 40 MLAs are disgruntled with YSR Congress and most of them will cross-vote for TDP.

If some of them remain in the YSR Congress, they are still ready to cast second and third-preference votes for the TDP candidate.

If TDP can win a Rajya Sabha Seat, it will be a big sensation. By that time, the election code is already in effect.

It will be a huge psychological boost to TDP and the public perception will turn in favor of the Cycle Party.

Sources say that two leaders of TDP are interested in contesting and Chandrababu will take a final decision after Sankranthi.
