The Rajendranagar police have booked a businessman from Tolichowki after a video of his 11-year-old son driving a luxury electric sports car on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) went viral on social media.
The widely shared video showed the minor operating an open-top MG Cyberster convertible at high speed, while his father sat in the passenger seat next to him with his hand raised in the air.
Following widespread public outrage, the Hyderabad Traffic Police immediately tracked the vehicle and coordinated with local authorities to apprehend both the car and the father.
The vehicle was intercepted by the social media monitoring team and police personnel before being officially handed over to the Rajendranagar police station for further investigation.
Law enforcement authorities have initiated strict legal action against the father on multiple counts, including allowing a minor to drive a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, and disobedience of lawful orders.
Police officials issued a stern reminder to parents and guardians, emphasising that handing over keys to underage children is a punishable offence that risks lives and carries severe legal consequences.
