The Ministry of AYUSH(Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) had given blunt reply to a RTI query which will possibly embarrass the Narendra Modi government.

In a reply to RTI query about the no.of.mulsims recruited for short term overseas assignments as yoga trainers, the AYUSH ministry quoted that as a government policy no Muslim was invited, selected and sent abroad. Till October 2015, the ministry rejected 3,845 Muslim candidates who wanted to be Yoga trainers in abroad. The ministry also provided a list of 26 Hindu names selected for the entrusted job.
This statement fixes the Modi government in an utterly uncomfortable position. Already Modi government has been criticised by opposition parties for trying to turn India into a “Hindu Rashtra” by undermining the minority group stakes.
