Before the 2019 elections, several Tollywood personalities, ranging from anchor Shyamala to a veteran like Mohanbabu traveled with Jagan’s YCP. They saw a positive swing for Jagan and joined his ranks before the election.
Cut to now, the situation appears to have reversed for Jagan. Tollywood isn’t as receptive for Jagan now, after seeing his regime for last 4 years and also the way he tormented the industry through ticket price restrictions and shows restriction.
Incidentally, just months before Andhra Pradesh election, none other than Megastar Chiranjeevi has delivered a dagger to YCP.
“These people should focus on special category status and better road management, instead of showing their power and oppression on Tollywood,” Chiru said as he took a sly dig at the Jagan government.
Chiru’s statement is well received as many opine that an industry head like Chiru should speak his heart out, like the way he did in the aforementioned instance.
Chiru’s statement hit the right people at the right time. Kodali Nani, who was all praises on Chiru all the while as he asked Pawan to learn from his brother, has now taken a U-turn. Nani said there are many “pakodis” in Tollywood who are trying to teach them how to run the government.

Now, many opine that Chiru, who maintained diplomatic stance on YCP all the while, has come out firing indicating that Tollywood also believes the time is up for Jagan.
Netizens are commenting that Chiru’s comment is like a dagger to heart for YCP as the fact that it came from top most personality in Tollywood right before the election shows that the industry senses a change of power dynamic and is no longer intending to live under Jagan fear.
