Today, the World woke up to the news of HYDRAA demolishing Nagarjuna’s N-Convention in Madhapur.
The convention center was built in the buffer zone of a lake and has been in talks for years now.
N-Convention is built on 10 acres. As per the executive engineer (North Tank Division), the FTL area of Thammidi Kunta is 29.24 acres and the encroachments by N-Convention are around 1.12 acres in FTL and 2 acres in the buffer zone.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made a big statement about his commitment to removing the encroachments with this.
Usually, the Governments maintain cordial relations with celebrities owing to their popularity. So, this is a surprise.
But then, it may be because Revanth Reddy is upset with Nagarjuna.
When KCR underwent Hip Replacement Surgery in December, Nagarjuna went to the hospital and visited him.
Until then, he did not meet the new Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. So that may have upset the Chief Minister.
Nagarjuna may have realized or someone may have alerted about it. Days after that, he went to Revanth Reddy’s residence along with his wife Amala.
But it looks like the damage control did not work.
Revanth Reddy did not think twice about using N-Convention to make a political statement.
The result is a big financial loss to Nagarjuna.
Since there are violations on his part, there is nothing Nagarjuna can do.
