Naga Babu’s Debut Speech In Council: Good Start

Naga Babu speaking in Assembly

Naga Babu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s brother, joined the Council in March. This Assembly session marks his first attendance. Today, during Question Hour, he gave his maiden speech.

He focused on delays in court cases and the burden it places on common people. He highlighted how justice is out of reach for many due to the backlog.

He also raised the issue of Political Vendetta Cases. Without naming YSR Congress, he pointed out how such cases are becoming more frequent.

Naga Babu kept the speech relevant without making it partisan. He called for a system to verify politically sensitive cases and urged the government to fill judicial vacancies to speed up pending matters.

Whether Naga Babu chose the topic or the Janasena team suggested it, the preparation showed. The speech was well-researched with solid data and clear messaging.

For a first speech, it was a confident and thoughtful start. He managed to strike a political note while staying balanced and focused.

Earlier, Chandrababu Naidu announced plans to induct Naga Babu into the Cabinet, but it hasn’t happened yet. During promotions of Hari Hara Veeramallu, Pawan Kalyan was asked about it.

Pawan said, “CM had already taken a decision. It is for me to decide about it now. There are many problems to think about.”

The announcement had triggered backlash. Naga Babu would become the third Kapu Minister in Janasena’s four-member cabinet.

All four are from upper castes. Nadendla Manohar, the fourth minister, belongs to the Kamma community.

Naga Babu also made strong comments earlier about TDP and Balakrishna, which upset the party’s base. That’s likely why his induction is delayed.

Whether he makes it to the Cabinet or not is still unclear.
