YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who is in Delhi for the last three days, is coming to Kadapa all of sudden. This tour is not in his schedule but situations prompted him. Kadapa is the bastion of YS family for several decades. The district rallied with Congress during YSR time and YSR Congress after his death.

In the last election, YSR Congress won nine out of ten seats here. But Chandrababu Naidu is targeting Kadapa itself for his Operation Akarsha. Already two MLAs joined the party and two more are in line. They say one Senior politician of the district is also joining the party on 28th of this month.
If YSR Congress has any future left, it has to be in Kadapa and Rayalaseema. The party which took a heavy beating in the remaining districts in last elections, did not improve a bit. Now slipping down in Rayalaseema will be nothing less than a death blow for the opposition party. Lets see if Jagan manages to stop Naidu’s juggernaut in his bastion.
