Is Centre Really Favouring Andhra Pradesh?

Lokesh speaks on Andhra Pradesh development

The TDP and Janasena are currently in alliance with the BJP to form the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh. Even at the central level, TDP and Janasena have been firmly backing the NDA at every level.

So there is natural discussion, whether the government is rewarding the consolidated government in Andhra Pradesh by allocating significant funds and sanctions here. When this topic was brought to discussion in front of IT Minister Lokesh, he had a very mature response.

Lokesh said the central government places equal emphasis on every single state in India, and it is just that Andhra Pradesh is very proactive when it comes to driving these opportunities.

“For instance, when there was this opportunities for a central defence project, Andhra Pradesh put its hand up and allocated at 600 acres of land without charging a single rupee. So naturally emerged as runner and brought this industry to our state. It is always going to be a matter of quick precision, and we are able to achieve it under CM Chandrababu.” Lokesh said.

It is evident that there is no real push from center to Andhra Pradesh as such, but the Chandrababu government is committed to quick commerce, and that is the point of difference here.

Lokesh further added that the capital city of Amaravati is not just a hallmark for Andhra Pradesh, but also across India and that is going to be the case in the future as well.
