Andhra Pradesh politics has increasingly focused on the mega DSC recruitment drive. After the YCP government failed to complete DSC recruitment during its five-year tenure, the opposition immediately criticised the NDA government after it executed the recruitment process this year.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has raised several objections to the implementation of the DSC recruitment drive. He has questioned the process on multiple occasions and criticised the way the recruitment was conducted.
Jagan also called on YCP leaders to protest against the DSC recruitment drive recently. The protests were held across Andhra Pradesh but reportedly received limited public response.
Meanwhile, IT Minister Nara Lokesh appears unfazed by the criticism from Jagan. Instead, he has repeatedly challenged the former Chief Minister to come forward for a public debate on the DSC recruitment process.
Lokesh has invited Jagan to discuss his questions and complaints about the DSC drive. He has maintained that he is ready to answer every question raised by the former Chief Minister.
Lokesh has continued to wait for Jagan to accept the challenge and has also followed up on the matter. However, the former Chief Minister has not responded to the challenge so far.
The political face-off over the Andhra Pradesh DSC recruitment drive is therefore continuing. It remains to be seen whether Jagan will accept Lokesh’s challenge and participate in a public discussion on the issue.
