Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh has directed officials to conduct a comprehensive study on regulating high fees in private schools.
The directive was issued during a high-level review meeting held on Thursday at his Undavalli residence, where the minister evaluated the performance and upcoming initiatives of the School Education, Higher Education, and Skill Development & Training departments.
During the review, Minister Lokesh emphasized the need to address the burden of excessive fees charged by private institutions to ensure fair access to education.
In addition to school fee regulations, the minister reviewed ongoing training and employment-linked initiatives across the state. It was also announced that a dedicated “Skill Portal” is officially scheduled to be launched in July to streamline and boost skill development opportunities for youth.
