Looks like there is a son rise in Telugu Desam Party. Chandrababu Naidu’s son, Lokesh seem to be gradually tightening his grip on the party. While his father is more focused on bringing more investments to the state, Lokesh is busy strengthening the party.

Lokesh is instrumental in bringing JC and Anam brothers in to the party and is also in talks with Jammalamadugu MLA, Adinarayana Reddy and few other YSR Congress MLAs to bring them in to the party. It is said that Lokesh is keen on strengthening the party in Rayalaseema, particularly in Kadapa district, the home turf of YS Jagan. Lokesh as party’s National General Secretary is touring the entire state publicizing various welfare schemes of the TDP government in AP.
He is also helping his father by gauging the performance of his party MLAs by holding random surveys in their respective constituencies with the help of private agencies. With Lokesh round the corner, Naidu is totally distancing himself from the party affairs except in the key issues. Upcoming Vizag summit where Naidu is expected to sign nearly one lakh crore MOUs is an example where he is spending most of his time.
Lokesh for sure will be reckoning force in TDP by 2019 elections, the party leaders themselves admit.
