Andhra Pradesh may be the only state where Andhra Pradesh can not make a bit of impact under Modi and Amit Shah. The lackadaisical attitude of the state unit and its leadership are the reasons for it.
The other day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Vizag Tour sat with the AP BJP core committee.
It has been reported in the media that the Prime Minister does not even know or may have forgotten the name of BJP President Somu Veerraju. He reportedly asked him to introduce himself.
Even if Modi forgot, he should have got briefed before the meeting but may have thought such preparation and respect is not needed given the condition of AP BJP.
During the course of the meeting, Modi reportedly asked Veerraju how many districts are there in Andhra Pradesh and the latter got it wrong. He struggled when asked how many Mandals are there in the state.
This reflects the condition of both the state unit and the lack of interest on the part of the high command.
That also indicates BJP can not expect any better results in 2024.
And then, we have Veerraju and other BJP leaders speaking in the media that they are coming to power tomorrow itself.
