Jagan Mohan Reddy is changing party incharges left right and center. There is a buzz that he will make changes to at least 82 seats. Some of the sitting MLAs and Ministers may have to change seats or will be left with no seats for 2024.
While the YSR Congress is making tall claims about these changes, it appears more like a desperate move to fight anti-incumbency and imminent defeat.
There are rumors that even the sitting MLA of Jammalamadugu will be denied a ticket this time.
Jammalamadugu is the constituency with the second highest Reddy population in the state after Jagan’s Pulivendula.
For decades, Adi Narayana Reddy and Rama Subba Reddy ruled Jammalamadugu. Both of them were in TDP in 2019 but still YSR Congress won Jammalamadugu.
Moreover, YSR Congress’s Sudheer Reddy got more than 50,000 majority there.
That is the influence of the Reddy population in that seat.
If Jagan is contemplating changing candidate in that seat too, it is an indication of how bad the anti-incumbency is.
There are rumors that Jagan’s uncle Ravindranath Reddy or his another relative, the current Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy may contest from Jammalamadugu.
