
The latest update in the phone tapping case is the tapping of Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s Phone during the BRS regime. The SIT has come to a conclusion that phones of Kavitha and two of her close aides were tapped.
The news has created a buzz both on social media and political circles. While SIT has not officially announced it yet, they are working on getting evidence

Praneeth Rao and his associates had divulged that they tapped the phones of prominent politicians, businessmen, even judges. However, main accused Prabhakar Rao hasn’t committed to having tapped phones.
While the phones were tapped occasionally, the reason why they were tapped is yet to be known. For now, Prabhakar Rao continues to be stubborn and hasn’t said why and for whom the phones were tapped.

Meanwhile, SIT is trying to get the victims to give their statements. Also, there are chances of those close to past government being questioned.
The SIT is also trying to unravel if the tapping was done due to rivalry or over financial issues. It is also trying to figure out who benefited from tapping – was it the past government or officials or private people?
