The number of Coronavirus cases in India is increasing at a rapid pace. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of cases in India stands at 3,374. Unofficial numbers say that the number will be more than 3700 if not more.
A majority of the cases are related to the Nizamuddin Markaz event. The officials claim that they are able to identify most of the people who attended the event. Around 13,000 people have attended this event. The State Governments have isolated most of them and their events.
We will see a further spike in the next one week, till all the Nizamuddin returnees and their contacts are traced, tested and treated. We should be good if the graph registers Southward trend after that. Probably, we would get an idea of India’s position in the next two weeks.
In Andhra Pradesh, the total number of cases is pegged at 226 while in Telangana, the number of cases is 272 (as per the last update).
