Nirmala Sitharaman ninth budget

Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present her ninth consecutive Union Budget on February 1, 2026, for the fiscal year 2026–27. This will mark a historic milestone, according to BJP MP Paka Satyannarayana.

He said the record reflects her capability and the trust people have in the central government. He added that the upcoming budget is expected to strengthen the country’s economic system and meet public aspirations.

Paka Satyannarayana stated that economic experts expect growth to rise and inflation to come down. He said the budget will further stabilise the economy.

Highlighting India’s progress, he said the country is set to reach the second position in the electronics sector. He noted that India moved from 11th place in 2014 to becoming the fourth largest economy globally.

This transformation reflects the impact of Narendra Modi’s leadership, he said. He also pointed out that India managed global challenges such as Covid and international conflicts effectively.

Crude oil imports from Russia and strategic tie-ups with the European Union have enhanced India’s global standing. These moves brought international attention to the country, he added.

Paka Satyannarayana said Andhra Pradesh is expected to benefit significantly from the budget. With the central government taking responsibility for the Polavaram project, work is progressing rapidly.

He added that granting legal status to Amaravati will enable the state to receive central packages and funding from NABARD.

He also noted that Andhra Pradesh accounts for 60 percent of the country’s aqua exports, out of a total 76 percent. The budget is expected to announce incentives for the sector.

Paka said global investors are looking at Andhra Pradesh due to the efforts of CM Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh.

He added that apart from defence, the budget will focus on industrial and agricultural growth. Paka Satyannarayana made these remarks at the Varadhi programme held in Vijayawada.

He said the Varadhi programme will be conducted in four locations across Andhra Pradesh to address public grievances promptly.
