The Amazon Prime Video nightmare continues for users as, despite having a Prime Membership, the continuous advertisements in between movies and shows are disrupting the viewing experience for everyone.
While there is nothing new to see users fuming at social media regarding Prime’s ill reception, the issue has escalated to a higher level as almost every other user is pointing out the situation.
While two ads in between shows were bearable, a user stated how three 30-second ads were displayed before the start of a film, which was irritating for the user.
The user further stated due to this ill behaviour, torrenting and piracy is being widely used across the nation. Multiple users supported the overall statement comparing Amazon Prime Video with MX Player in terms of services despite offering premium subscription.
A hilarious tweet also called Amazon Prime Video to be Nirmala Sitharaman, if it were a person, given the amount of money the platform demands and provides limited features.
As the outrage continues to grow on social media, many have also boycotted the streaming services provided by Amazon and stated that they will use it only for shipping benefits.
While Amazon’s Prime membership provides better and earlier shipment along with additional discounts on products, users might opt for these benefits and skip the Prime Video subscription.
It remains to be seen if Amazon makes any adjustments ahead and makes Prime Video a better platform for all users or not.
Prime Video ads situation is getting worse.
I had to watch THREE 30 second ads before watching a movie today.
Fucking hate it when streaming platforms do this.
I will never blame anyone if they prefer torrenting over Amazon Prime despite having a subscription. pic.twitter.com/aBKfScW0q7
