No AP-Specific Allocations In Union Budget 2025

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the budget for the financial year 2025-25.

Last year budget had Andhra Pradesh-Specific allocations.

In the last budget, there was 15000 Crore Assistance to Amaravati, funds for the Polavaram Project, the Vishakapatnam – Chennai Industrial Corridor and Hyderabad – Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, and a Special Package for All Rayalaseema Districts, Prakasam, and all Uttarandhra Districts for Andhra Pradesh.

This year, there is no mention of Andhra Pradesh in the Budget.

Interestingly, there are many allocations for Bihar as the state goes to elections in October or November later this year.

Establishment of Makhana Board, Special Assistance For Kosi Canal, IIT in Patna, National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, and a new Greenfield Airport are some of the sops announced for Bihar in this Budget.

The total budget Size is 50.65 Lakh Crores with Gross Tax Revenue estimated at 42.7 Lakh Crores.
