But cut to now, Indigo also has come to a decision to shut operations down at Kadapa.

Indigo’s complaint is that the AP government wrote in its agreement that they will provide Viability gap fund of Rs 20 crores to Indigo Airlines for operating in Kadapa.

However, these funds haven’t been allocated to the airlines and as a result, the company has decided to shut operations. They’ve Intimated the same to Kadapa collector, who then intervened and assured them that the funds would be allocated soon.

Subsequently, Indigo Airlines, which had shut online bookings briefly eased up and opened bookings till September 15. If the funds aren’t allocated by then, the Indigo could stop operating in Kadapa.
