Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged that YS Jagan’s government won’t work without corruption. He emphasized that the YCP’s agenda revolves only around “corruption…corruption…corruption…”
After the Rajamahendravaram public meeting, Modi addressed another public gathering in Ugginapalem village of the Anakapalli district.
During his speech, Modi highlighted that the central government had sanctioned 24 lakh houses for poor citizens under the PM Awas Yojana. However, he noted that the YCP government hadn’t even completed half of the allocated houses.
“While we are trying to eradicate poverty, YCP is further pushing people into it,” added Modi. He said that YCP’s motto is “Where there is no corruption, there will be no work”.
Modi took up the issue of the Uttarandhra Sujala Sravathi irrigation project and said that it was originally initiated by Jagan’s father, YS Rajashekar Reddy. Modi pointed out that Jagan became YSR’s successor in politics but failed to continue his father’s projects despite inheriting his political legacy.
Regarding the Polavaram project, Modi stated that the central government had allocated 15,000 crores, accusing the YCP of neglecting the interests of farmers and failing to advance the project’s construction.
Modi termed BJP’s mantra as “Development…Development…Development” and the YCP’s as “Corruption…Corruption…Corruption…”
He also noted that the BJP had approved a separate railway zone for Visakhapatnam but criticized the YCP government for not providing land for the Railway Zone Headquarters.
