KCR Prashant Kishor

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) secretly engaged political strategist Prashant Kishor for the 2023 elections, as revealed by BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR).

However later BRS parted ways with Kishor because he allgedly wanted to dictate government functions and programs. KTR emphasized that they didn’t want an outsider dominating decision-making.

Reports suggest Kishor recommended replacing sitting MLAs to reduce anti-incumbency, a proposal KCR rejected, leading to their parting ways.

In the recent elections, only aroud 12 new candidates were fielded, and the majority won, while several incumbent sitting MLAs faced defeat.

The outcome raises speculation that if KCR had listened to Prashant Kishor, BRS wouldn’t have suffered such a disastrous fate in these elections.
