Commission of Inquiry on Kaleshwaram project has issued notices to ex CM and BRS chief KCR. Along with him, Justice PC Ghose Commission has issued notices to Harish Rao and BJP leader and ex minister Eatala Rajender.
Ghose Commission issued summons to them and gave 15 days time to appear before it. The investigation of sinking of piers at Medigadda barrage and leakages at Annaram and Sundilla barrages has reached the final stage. Hence, the one-man Commission decided to summon the three.
Incidentally, all three barrages are part of Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, which was built during the tenure of BRS. The Revanth Reddy government extended the term of the Ghose Commission by two months, till July 31.
While the Ghose Commission was supposed to give its report by May 31, Ghose decided to summon KCR and Harish Rao for their role in making major policy decisions like shifting the project from Tummidihatti to Medigadda.
Ghose will also question them about the cost, execution and design.
