One More Attraction For Vizag: 172 Crore Unity Mall

Vizag is to get another attraction. It will soon be getting Unity Mall which has been proposed by the Central government to promote handlooms and handicrafts. Unity Mall will be constructed in Madhurawada.

The Mall will be constructed with Rs 172 crore and there will be G+4 floors. The Center has already announced Rs 86 crore for the first phase. The tenders process has also been completed.

Prime Minister Modi will virtually start the Unity Mall on May 2 when he will start the redevelopment works for Amaravati. The Mall will be completed by March 2026 according to state government. Rs 172 crore has been given as a 50-year loan without interest by the Center to the state government.

The Mall will be constructed on 5 acres. It will be 5 km away from Rushikonda Beach. In the G+4 structure, the first two floors will have 62 shops. One district-one product and those with geo tags will be sold in these shops from across the country.

From the third floor, sea view will be provided. On the fourth floor, one convention hall, two mini theaters, retail stores, food & beverage outlets, entertainment zone, fitness centres, banks, furniture stores will come up.




The money got from these commercial establishments will be used to repay loans to the Central government.
