The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh had already commissioned a cabinet reshuffle not so long ago. He brought in new members into the cabinet around 2 and a half years after his party YSRC was voted to power.
Cut to now, media portals are reporting that Jagan might soon be commissioning another cabinet rejig just months post the recent one.
Apparently, the chief minister has warned his current cabinet ministers that he is ready to reshuffle the cabinet again if needed. This happened in the cabinet meeting that took place today.
“I won’t hesitate to remove two or three ministers from the cabinet if needed. If I hear something dissatisfactory about you I would definitely see to it that there are changes in the cabinet,” Jagan told his ministers today, as per reports.
Jagan reportedly told this is a preparation for 2024 elections and he wants his ministers to work for the betterment of the party and its prospects for the next elections.
Well, cabinet reshuffle is a pretty elaborate procedure and Jagan has done the same alread after he was voted to power. Now, it is reported that he might be doing it for the second time which doesn’t usually happen with an independently-elected government.
