Telangana Congress in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan will be doing a padayatra in the state from July 31. In a surprise twist to Telangana citizens, a state in-charge will be taking up padayatra instead of a minister or the CM.
Meenakshi Natarajan will tour the constituencies for a week. The padayatra will start in Parigi, Vikarabad district.
Meenakshi Natarajan will do padayatra in Aandhol, Armoor, Khanapur, Choppadandi and Vardhannapet. It is the effort of Congress to get an idea of ground reality prior to the local body polls.
It is known that KTR and the BRS have been claiming that the people are waiting for the pink party to come to power. Given this scenario, looks like the Congress High Command picked the Telangana state in-charge to take up padayatra.
In Phase 1, one district per constituency will be covered. TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and senior leaders will join Meenakshi Natarajan.
The leaders will also do shramdaan in the mornings and meet up with MPs, MLAs, mandal and block presidents.
