Former actress Divyavani has quit Telugu Desam Party. She alleges that she did not get proper respect at the party.
Even though Divyavani is not an influential political personality, her quitting has come like ‘Coconut for Monkey’ for YSRCP and its supporting people.
Some are even churning out opinion pieces like ‘Beautiful ladies facing problems in TDP’ citing the examples of Jayaprada, Jayasudha, Roja, Kavitha, and Divyavani.
What is beauty got to do with politics? Who cares for logic!
If beauty alone is a criterion, Aishwarya Rai should be our PM!
It is true that these ladies are beautiful. TDP has given the opportunity for them. They do not have basic political knowledge but can definitely draw attention.
TDP has trained them from zero and given them the visibility needed for politicians.
Jayaprada was helped to get a Rajya Sabha seat. Roja and Kavitha got Telugu Mahila. Divyavani was made spokesperson.
But the big problem is that when in the film industry, these ladies get the highest order of attention and care. They fail to understand they are juniors in politics.
They should have the patience to stick to a party, work hard, and wait for their turn. But they naturally do not have it in them. They leave the party to join other parties for obvious reasons.
Probably, that is the reason why beautiful ladies face problems in TDP.
Several not so beautiful also face issues in TDP or any other party and move towards greener pastures. That is not uncommon in any party.
But sadly, political analysis these days is only limited to the surface.
And that lack of knowledge is combined with favoritism to ignore facts.
On top of that, this is the season of Mahanadu.
