The ongoing issue of India’s Surgical Strikes on Pakistan seems to be bringing all the political parties on a common line for the first time. All the parties including the main opposition party, Congress extended its support to the government and the army and sent a message that there is no politics over the national security.

Congress Spokespersons tried hard not to hide their disappointment as the issue can be portrayed as the government’s achievement in future but still tried to put up a brave face and supported the government. Modi strategically called for an all-party meeting and took all the opinions of the parties to arrive at a consensus.
On the other side, it is emerging that the surgical strike killed at least 35-40 of Terrorists including Nine Pakistani Soldiers. The Indian forces penetrated 3 Kms deep in to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). The operation began a little after the midnight of Wednesday and till early hours of Thursday for about four hours.
