Why Parthasarathi Compared YSRCP To Extremism

Parthasarathi on YSRCP remarks

His comments come in the context of recent remarks by some YSRCP leaders, where they spoke about acting like a “suicide squad.” Reacting to this, Parthasarathi questioned whether such statements reflect democratic politics or something more dangerous.

He said blindly following leadership without questioning decisions is not healthy in a democracy. If there is a mistake, it should be discussed openly instead of being defended at any cost.

According to him, such behaviour creates a dangerous political culture. That is why he described YSRCP’s current approach as more dangerous than extremism.

Parthasarathi also alleged that the party is focusing more on stopping development rather than contributing to progress. He said this attitude is harming the state and slowing down growth.

He further criticised the previous government led by Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, saying institutions were weakened during that period.

He added that instead of constructive governance, the earlier regime encouraged what he called destructive politics. He warned people to stay alert about such trends.

In the end, his message was clear. Politics should be about responsibility, discussion and development, not blind support or extreme behaviour.
