Party leaders revolt on JP

Loksatta Jayaprakash Narayan to Quit PoliticsLok Satta Founder Jaya Prakash Narayana few months ago, announced that Lok Satta will not be contesting elections any further and will only fight on the people’s problems as a non-political organization. Now the team that worked under JP did not like the idea. Party’s AP President DVS Varma announced that JP’s announcement stunned the party cadre.

He also announced forming a new political platform and also said that Lok Satta is a close chapter in AP. Lok Satta National President, Katari Srinivasa Rao also announced that the new political party will not be just a name change but will come up with new ideas. JP himself with lot of good will could not succeed in politics, lets see how his team succeeds

Lok Satta which is an NGO contested in 2009 elections. The party just managed to win one MLA. JP himself won as an MLA from Kukatpally. However the party managed a significant 2% vote share. However JP failed to bring any change even in his constituency for the period of next years. Following survey reports, JP did not contest from Kukatpally in 2014 elections. He contested from Malkajgiri MP where he failed to win deposit. The party also ended as inconsequential in the election losing all its vote share.
