Janasena President Pawan Kalyan wrote an open letter to the Kapu leaders saying that the YSR Congress is trying to use them against him.
“If the Kapu leaders whom I respect abuse me, I will always take their abuses as blessings. Janasena’s doors will be always open for them. I urge them not to fall into the trap of Jagan who is trying to use them as Pawns. They should first question Jagan who said he will not give Kapu Reservations,” Pawan Kalyan said in the letter.
This letter has come in the wake of reports that the YSR Congress is trying to use Mudragada Padmanabham and Vangaveeti Radha against Janasena to prevent Kapu consolidation towards the TDP – Janasena alliance.
However, this letter by Pawan Kalyan is a wrong move.
Pawan Kalyan should realize that he is above all these people for the Kapu community.
If there are votes in the community that look for an icon, it will be definitely Pawan Kalyan.
Mudragada and Vangaveeti are spent forces. They are not influential figures like Pawan Kalyan. Their electoral track record itself is a testimony of that.
Forget about influencing the entire community, they were not able to win their own seat for a long time.
Mudragada did not win an election since 1999. He last contested in the 2014 election as an independent from the Prathipadu constituency and lost his deposit.
Radha, on the other side, won the last election in 2004. He lost three elections after that and did not contest in 2019 elections.
So to expect them to influence the entire community and bring the votes to YSR Congress is too much.
Pawan Kalyan just did a favor to them by taking them seriously.
