For some celebrities, their popularity has become a weapon to blackmail others and to earn easy money. Anchor Harshavardhan who is famous for anchoring the spine chilling crime related programmes has been arrested in the late hours of Saturday night for blackmailing a dental college.
Into the details…he started blackmailing a management of a dental college to pay him Rs. 5 crores. Otherwise there would be an adverse telecast on the college on a popular channel. The management of the college tried to negotiate with him for a smaller amount but the anchor wasn’t ready for the deal.
Later the college management approached police who advised the management to go on and negotiate with the anchor. Hence a deal was struck and the anchor was paid Rs. 1 crore. There after, the police could catch Harshavardhan red-handed with the money. The dental college is located near Vijayawada and the anchor was shifted to Patamata police station for further investigation on the big names involved in the blackmail.
