The Mercury levels in Hyderabad are creating new record every day. Last Wednesday is the hottest April day in Hyderabad over the last 43 years. As a result people are struggling to come out of their houses or offices during the day time. Fans and ACs are in full demand and so is the power consumption due to them.

Due to the extreme hot weather, the Power demand in Telangana is also increasing drastically. Telangana Genco is struggling to meet the demand as a result there are unscheduled power cuts all over Hyderabad. The power deficit state is totally clueless to meet this sudden and unexpected surge in power demand.
Minister KTR is being flooded with complaints about unscheduled power cuts in the city and the young minister himself admitted that there are several complaints about erratic power supply and that could be because of unprecedented increase in demand. He promised to address the issue very soon.
