Prakasam district is one of the districts in the state where TDP is contesting in all segments. TDP has not assigned any Assembly or Parliament Constituency to its alliance partners. TDP candidates have filed nominations in the district except in Santhanoothalapaadu and Markapuram. The process of nominations for the general elections will end on Thursday.
The process of filing nominations for TDP candidates from three assembly constituencies went on in full swing. It is known that the process of nominations for the Ongole Parliament and eight assembly seats in the district started from the 18th of this month.
TDP Ongole MP candidate Magunta Srinivasulareddy and three Assembly candidates have already filed their nominations. Ongole candidate Damachrala Janardhan, Kanigiri candidate Nooka Ugranarasimha Reddy, and Giddalur candidate Muthumula Ashok Reddy filed on Wednesday.
TDP nominations in Darsi and Addanki are highlighted in the whole nomination process in the state. Members of the Gottipaati family are contesting from these two segments. Videos and images of Darsi TDP candidate Gottipati Lakshmi’s nomination went viral on Social Media.
On this occasion, huge rallies were organized in the respective constituency centers, and the leaders and activists of the TDP, as well as other parties in the alliance like Jana Sena and BJP, participated enthusiastically.
The towns of Ongole, Kanigiri, and Giddalur turned yellow on Wednesday morning as thousands of TDP cadres gathered from all corners of the constituencies and participated in the nomination process. Candidates will also submit their nomination papers on the last day.
Santhanoothalapaadu candidate BN Viykumar and Markapuram TDP candidate Kandula Narayana Reddy will file their nominations on Thursday.
