Printing of 200 Currency Notes Begin

After printing new currency notes of 2000 and 500, RBI has now started printing 200 Currency Notes in one of the government-owned facilities after the Central Bank placed an order a few weeks ago for the bills. RBI refused to comment about this.

RBI opines that introduction of 200 rupee notes will add to the ease of operations. Sources say that the new 200 notes will carry advanced security features and the authorities are taking extra precaution to prevent counterfeiting.

We are told that the first batch of these currency samples was delivered from the Printing Press. Currently, those notes are going through different levels of security and quality checks at the government’s press unit at Hoshangabad (Madhya Pradesh).
