Reports suggest that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is poised to make her debut in the Lok Sabha elections, potentially contesting from Rae Bareli, a stronghold of the Gandhi family, which her mother, Sonia Gandhi, has represented since 2004.

This move signifies a significant shift in the leadership dynamics within the Congress party.

While Sonia Gandhi is considering a Rajya Sabha seat from either Himachal Pradesh or Rajasthan due to health reasons, Priyanka’s potential entry into electoral politics is gaining momentum.

Additionally, there’s a suggestion for Sonia to represent Madhya Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha. Last week, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged Sonia Gandhi to run for the Lok Sabha from Khammam, seeing her as the “mother of Telangana” who helped it gain statehood.
