The alliance has finalized its candidates for the by-elections to the three vacant Rajya Sabha seats from the state. Two of these three seats have been decided for the TDP and the other for the BJP.
Three Rajya Sabha Seats have fallen vacant due to the Resignation of the YSR Congress members – Beeda Masthan Rao, Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, and R Krishnaiah.

Two of them will get a chance again. Beeda Masthan Rao will be renominated by TDP while BJP will offer its seat to R Krishnaiah.
In the last Telangana elections, BJP went to the election with the BC Chief Minister Plank but once again the party ended up as a distant third.

It looks like BJP is using the same BC Plank in Andhra Pradesh as well despite the fact it failed in Telangana.
Also, R Krishnaiah seems to be a bad choice.

Krishnaiah is a BC leader but he is known for changing colors as per the weather.
We have seen him change many parties. He is unlikely to get any dividends in the Telugu States
In 2014, TDP gave him his first Political Chance. He won as the MLA from LB Nagar. In that election, Chandrababu Naidu announced BC CM by making R Krishnaiah as the face of that election but that did not work with the voters.
He became inactive in the party after the defeat and slowly moved away from the party.
After TDP lost AP as well in 2019, he became close to Jagan. In 2022, he joined the YSR Congress. Jagan sent R Krishnaiah to Rajya Sabha with the belief he could woo the BC voters but no one could stop the defeat of the YSR Congress.
Immediately after the YSR Congress lost, Krishnaiah resigned.
So, BJP is going to be the third party for R Krishnaiah.
No one is sure if it will be the last party change. If there is a change of wind, we may see Krishnaiah in another party.
He is unlikely to bring any votes for the BJP. So, this may be another failed experiment of the BJP in the Telugu States.
