The drug menace continues to trouble the city, with college students among the most affected. Despite awareness campaigns and crackdowns, drug suppliers are still active, and some students are even turning into peddlers.
To curb this, the government formed special Eagle teams that work with other departments to track peddlers. These teams have made several big seizures, and once again, Rachakonda police have caught a massive haul in Abdullahpurmet.

Acting on a tip-off, SOT Rachakonda police raided Abdullahpurmet and Kothaguda. They stopped a DCM van and found 1210 kilos of ganja hidden between cement bags.
Police said the consignment was being moved from Odisha to Rajasthan
