Supreme Court has granted bail to MP Raghu Rama Krishanam Raju. The Apex Court opened the sealed cover of medical report given by the Army Hospital in Secunderabad. The hospital submitted the report with a picture that there are injuries on his leg and a fracture on his toe.
This is substantial evidence in establishing the claims of Police torture. The lawyer representing the Government expressed a doubt that the injuries may be self-inflicted. “We have the utmost respect for the army. We will not dispute the medical report prepared by the top three doctors but the report is inconclusive and does not prove any injury,” the government lawyer argued.
At a later stage, the lawyer also went on to say the MP is seen showing his foot to the media for almost 300 kilometers from Vijayawada to Hyderabad and that may have resulted in an injury. Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju will be moving another petition against the violence in police custody and also regarding the compensation.
“Considering the Army Hospital Medical Report, there is substantial evidence about Torture in the CID custody. If the court believes it, that will be trouble for the CID, the Government, the people involved, the doctors at GGH who gave a different report,” legal experts say.
Dave: The MP’s conduct to travel in his own car for 300 km with his own security and his foot up like that. That may have caused it. Nobody would treat MP like this. #SupremeCourt @RaghuRaju_MP @YSRCParty @ysjagan #RaghuRamaRaju

Dave: If police wanted to torture him, would they do it on the second toe of the foot ? You have immense knowledge, you know how things work. No police would ever treat an MP in this manner. #SupremeCourt @RaghuRaju_MP @YSRCParty @ysjagan #RaghuRamaRaju

Dave: I am not saying Army’s report is wrong. Both reports are right. But, something seems to have happened between the two reports. #SupremeCourt @RaghuRaju_MP @YSRCParty @ysjagan #RaghuRamaRaju
