Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi along with other Congress MPs jumped in to the well of Parliament. Congress Party demanded a discussion on communal riots across the country to corner the government. When Speaker did not allow it, Congress MPs proceeded in to the well accusing Speaker is partial. Outside the Parliament, Rahul accused the government of averse to discussion in the house.
Rahul Gandhi also alleged that Parliament affairs being ‘One Man Show (pointing to Prime Minister).Reacting to a reporter’s comment that he was raising his voice for the first time and leading from the front, Gandhi said, “I have raised my voice many times in Parliament.” Later on Lok Sabha speaker, Sumitra Mahajan condemned Rahul’s statements and clarified that she is keen on giving equal opportunities equally to all members and parties.
