Former Goshamahal MLA and ex-BJP leader Raja Singh has made a direct appeal to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. In a video message, he urged the CM to adopt the strict law-and-order approach followed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Raja Singh expressed shock over the recent robbery at the Khazana store in Chandanagar. The incident took place on Tuesday when six armed robbers entered the store shortly after it opened, threatening the staff with guns and shooting the deputy manager in the leg before escaping.
The robbers managed to take only one kilo of silver and had no time to grab gold. Even so, the crime shocked residents as such incidents involving gun violence were previously unheard of in Telangana, creating concern over rising criminal activity.
Highlighting Yogi Adityanath’s model, Raja Singh said there were no major thefts, extortions, or mafia activities in Uttar Pradesh because culprits were dealt with through encounters. He claimed criminals there preferred jail to being free, fearing being encountered outside.
He stressed that unsocial elements in Telangana should also fear strict action. Criminals from other states should hesitate to enter Telangana to cause trouble. He concluded by requesting that Revanth Reddy follow Yogi Adityanath’s approach to control crime effectively.
